Pick Patek

“Can’t box me in...,” that’s the vibe behind Philadelphia native Pick Patek’s music. Since 2018 Patek has released 4 projects, with a host of singles that has surpassed over 4 million streams on Spotify alone. Projects When in Oakland (2018), Blue Slides & Night Skies EP (2018), Modern Art (2019), and Ghosts (2020) all display his confident, energetic and fun music while showcasing his versatile lyrical talent and production.

2020 was a challenging year for musicians everywhere, but Patek found a creative streak that enabled him to not only stay afloat, but to also emerge on the other side of the year stronger, musically, than ever before. In March, he headlined his first out of state show at Subterranean in Chicago, IL. By June, with the pandemic in full swing, live shows were limited. So instead of taking time off and riding the pandemic out, Patek chose to release even more music. Two of the bigger singles released were “California” feat REALLIFEALWAYS and “Butterflies'“ feat 2late which were both on the album Ghosts released in October. Butterflies was accompanied by a music video and a line of merch in collaboration with the Immortal brand in Pittsburgh, Pa which sold out in 72 hours. He also connected with DJ Hipnotik to organize and perform a livestream benefit show that raised $2,000 for the Bukit Bail Fund in Pittsburgh, PA.

2021 turned out to be Patek best streaming year to date amassing over 2 million streams. He ramped up his release schedule by releasing 7 singles and 5 music videos, all while evolving his style and making a career changing move across the country from PA to CA. Singles such as “Sticky Fingers”, and “Robust” landed on Spotify editorial playlist Varsity Bars & Fresh Finds while “Butterflies” streamed over 600k alone on Spotify in 2021.

While Picks evolving style is pushing him into a new era musically, his goal is to grow as authentically as he possibly can as a songwriter and channel his experiences into therapeutic songs for himself and fans alike. As a producer, he wants to channel the melodies of artists such as Beach House and the mystique of lyricists like A$AP Rocky into fresh, and vivid soundscapes that no one has ever heard of before. With his latest move to Los Angeles, CA, and his rapid single release scheduled for 2022, Pick Patek is on his way to becoming nationally known and won’t stop until he is.
